Amur Leopard at Emirates Park Zoo and Resort

Amur Leopards are considered to be one of the rarest and most critically endangered big cats in the world. Male leopard weighs around 32-48 kg, and exceptionally large males weighs up to 75 kg, while females typically weigh 25-43 kg.
Amur leopards are carnivores and usually eats deer’s, badgers, raccoon dogs, birds and small mammals. They show the strongest divergence in coat pattern among all leopards having paler coat thick black rings and longer fur with strong-nimble feet and light, blue-green eyes. Habitually, they are nocturnal and solitary. They are skillful hunters.
