Southern Ground Hornbills, the Largest Hornbill in the World

Southern ground hornbills are the largest hornbills in the world. Their eyes are yellow in color covered with red color around eyes and throat and the body is black with black legs quite robust, These Hornbills are omnivores- although mainly carnivores usually eat reptiles, frogs, birds, snakes and large insects. They are usually found in South Africa. Southern ground hornbills habitat consists of woodlands and savannas. Their lifespan is almost 50-60 years. In the past days southern ground hornbills are believed to bring good luck
