This stunning, emerald egg is an EMU EGG !!!
January 31, 2017

The Emu is Australia’s tallest native bird, reaching between 1.6 m and 1.9 m when standing.  The males are slightly smaller than females. Emus eat fruits, seeds, growing shoots of plants, insects, other small animals, and animal droppings .The main habitats of the Emu are sclerophyll forest and savanna woodland. These birds are rarely found in rainforest or very arid areas. Females lay large eggs weighing about a pound each. The male sits on the eggs to incubate them when the female is busing laying more eggs.
